2018 City Tournament - Chestnut Hills - July 13, 14, 15 (Friday afternoon, Saturday, Sunday)

 

The 2018 FWWGA City Tournament Entry Form is now available. 

Entry Forms are due by Saturday, July 7th at 6pm!

If you are a member of the FWWGA or played in the 2017 City Tournament you should receive an email.

Practice Rounds are available anytime at Chestnut Hills.

FWWGA City Tournament Guidelines:

1. To participate in the 2018 Women's City Tournament, all Participants MUST be a current member of the FWWGA. The association is open to all amateur resident golfers of Allen County, who are female by birth. Non-Residents must be a verifiable active member of an Allen County golf course, golf league, college, or junior program.

2.  Junior Participants: are girls under the age of nineteen, who have not graduated from high school by July 1st. Juniors must be a resident of Allen County or; if they or their parents conform to the Non-Resident status as noted above.

3.  Senior and Super Senior Participants:
Senior Participants must be 50 years of age by July 1st of the current year. Super Senior Participants must be 70 years of age by July 1st of the current year.

Schedule of play for the FWWGA City Tournament:

1.  The City Tournament is three days of stroke play for City and Junior Participants. The Participants will be flighted after the 2nd day of play.  Play will begin on Friday, July 13th with Tee Times starting at 1pm.  City and Junior Participants will be playing the "Green Tee" Markers.  Chestnut Hills will play between 5600-5800 yards.  Chestnut Hills will have approximate tee layouts for practice rounds being played, please ask the clubhouse.

2.  The Senior and Super Senior Tournament is two days of stroke play. The Participants will be flighted after the 1st day of play.  Play will begin on Saturday, July 14th with Tee Times starting at 10:30 am.  Senior and Super Seniors will be playing the "Red Tee" Markers.  Chestnut Hills will play around 5000-5200 yards. 

3.  The number of Participants in each Tournament will determine the number of flights. There will be one overall City Champion and one overall Senior Champion.

Each flight will have a 1st place low gross and 1st place low net trophy.

Trophies will be awarded to the 3-day low gross and low net Junior winners. If a Junior Participant is the overall City Champion, the next low Junior Participant will be awarded the Junior Champion. Trophies will be awarded to the Senior and Super Senior low gross and low net winners. If a Super Senior Participant is the overall Senior Champion, the next low Super Senior Participant will be awarded the Super Senior Champion.

A low putt trophy will be awarded to the lowest number of total putts for both 3-day and 2-day Participants.
